General manager of Hebei Port Group under investigation

China’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) has announced that Li Min, general manager and vice president of Hebei Port Group, is under investigations by authorities for serious illegal acitivities.

Li is a well-known executive in China’s coal sector. He used to serve as the president of Kailuan Group, a large scale coal trading group, before joining Hebei Port Group. He was also elected in China’s ten most influential people in the energy logistics sector in 2011.

Hebei Port Group was established in 2009 following the integration of three major ports in Hebei, namely Qinhuangdao Port, Caofeidian Port and Huanghua Port, and become one of the largest dry bulk port companies in the world.
