Glencore Grain takes Diana panamax on period contract

Diana Shipping has fixed its panamax Ismene (77,901 dwt, built 2013) to Glencore Grain for 10 to 13 months, commencing yesterday.

The gross charter rate was fixed at $5,850 per day, minus 5% commission, which Diana said will generate around $1.67m of gross revenue during the first 10 months.

The rate is around a 25% reduction on the $7,825 per day that Glencore Grain was paying when it had the vessel on charter between March and July this year.

Ismene underwent a scheduled drydocking in July after completing its previous contract.
