Global Feeder Shipping takes over Simatech’s container services

Alphaliner is reporting that the liner operations of Dubai-based Simatech have been taken over by a new Dubai-based company, Global Feeder Shipping (GFS). The services are focused on the Middle East Gulf and between the Middle East Gulf and the Indian sub continent.

Earlier this year, Simatech also transferred its East Asia services to Feedertech, based in Singapore.

Simatech is now a non-operating owner chartering out its ships to third parties.

GFS currently operates 12 chartered ships of 1,200-4,300 teu with a total capacity of 32,495 teu.
