Global Maritime secures offshore work from Equinor

Norwegian marine engineering firm Global Maritime has secured a contract from Equinor to provide marine operations support offshore Norway.

The contract, which is valued at around NOK60-80m ($7-9.5m), will see Global Maritime work with Equinor on the project until 2020.

Global Maritime’s work scope under the contract includes project management, engineering, equipment procurement and offshore management.

The contract also covers both the towing and re-connection of both Njord A and Njord B in 2020. Equinor has chartered the newbuild offshore installation vessel Island Victory that Global Maritime will utilise to perform the campaign.
