Glomar OSV wins long-term contract in North Sea

Glomar Offshore’s emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV)  Glomar Pride has won a three-year contract in UK waters of the North Sea with an unnamed client.

The contract includes a three-year extension options, but the day rate was not disclosed.

“As the oil and gas drilling activity in the Netherlands diminished we have transferred our NOGEPA [Nederlandse Olie en Gas Exploratie en Productie Associatie] stand-by vessels into UK oil and gas (UKOG) ERRVs,” said Glomar’s chief commercial officer, Mark van der Star.

“As a result of that and a winning tender strategy Glomar has secured one three-year charter with three years of options,” he continued, adding that he believes the Netherlands-based company can grow further in the sector.
