Goldenport orders ultramax pair at Cosco Shipping Heavy

Greek owner Dragnis family’s Goldenport Shipmanagement has placed an order at China’s Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (CSHI) for the construction of two ultramax bulk carriers.

The two 63,800 dwt vessels will be built at CSHI’s Yangzhou yard, formerly known as China Shipping Industry Jiangsu. Delivery is scheduled in 2020.

Currently Goldenport operates a fleet of 17 vessels, comprised of 12 bulkers and five containerships. Nine out of the twelve bulkers were built by CSHI yards.
