GoodBulk adds another capesize

Fast growing owner GoodBulk has snapped up a secondhand capesize, sealing the deal at the same time it delivered 2003-built capesize Aquabeauty to new owners.

GoodBulk made a $5m profit in under a year on the Aquabeauty sale, and wasted no time utilising the funds to acquire a 2007-built capesize from an unnamed seller.

The incoming vessel, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, is scheduled for delivery to GoodBulk in June.

The acquisition gives Goodbulk a fleet of 25 vessels, including those under construction, including 22 capesizes.
