Government earmarks $20m for Aqaba

Cairo: The Jordanian government has decided to contribute in the financing of the new port of Aqaba and specifically its planned liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal.

The cabinet agreed yesterday to transfer $20m from the budget of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to the Aqaba Development Corporation to get the LNG terminal started.  [16/05/13]
