Great Eastern Shipping acquires secondhand gas carrier

India’s Great Eastern Shipping has signed a contract to buy a secondhand 36,567 cu m gas carrier.

The 1996-built vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in the first quarter of 2019.

Splash understands the ship to be LPG vessel Solaro, owned by Italian owner Carboflotta.

reat Eastern Shipping has a fleet of 47 vessels, comprising 32 tankers and 15 bulkers.
