Great Eastern Shipping acquires secondhand Lemos suezmax

India’s Great Eastern Shipping has signed a contract to buy a 150,000 dwt suezmax crude carrier. The vessel is expected to join the company’s fleet in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The 2,000-built tanker Cosmic was acquired from Greek owner CM Lemos.

The company’s current fleet stands at 38 vessels comprising 22 tankers, 2 LPG carriers and 14 dry bulk carriers.
