Greece appoints Ioannis Plakiotakis as new shipping minister

The newly-elected prime minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has appointed his cabinet and among the 51 new appointments Ioannis Plakiotakis has been named as minister of shipping.

Plakiotakis, 50, has held roles in the government previously including deputy labour minister and deputy minister for national defence.

The new ministers will be sworn in on Tuesday at the presidential mansion in Athens.
