Gresik Port gets liquid storage facilities
Jakarta: State-run port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III has spent Rp141.7bn ($12.75m) developing a liquid bulk storage area at Gresik Port in East Java. The site will be able to handle 500,000 tons of cargo annually.
“We are expanding the port’s liquid bulk facility because of the high demand in several industries based in Gresik. We will also install more new fixed cranes early next year to help smooth loading and unloading activities of liquid materials at the port,” a port spokesperson told the Jakarta Post. [31/10/13]
