Gulf Marine Services awarded four-year liftboat contract

UAE-based liftboat operator Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has been awarded a contract for a K-class vessel from a Middle East national oil company.

The contract, which is for a firm period of four years, will see GMS will provide support for offshore activities in UAE waters, where the vessel will be mobilised for operations in January 2020.

The new contract award will bring the secured utilisation of the entire GMS fleet for 2020 to 56%.

“We are pleased to announce this long-term contract award and look forward to meeting our customers’ needs over the coming years,” said Tim Summers, executive chairman of GMS.
