GulfMark Offshore wins long-term charters for PSV pair

Houston’s Gulfmark Offshore has chartered out a pair on platform supply vessels on long-term contracts.

2010-built Highland Prince has been chartered for two years, with options, to Asco Marine for operations on the UK continental shelf.

The second contract is for Highland Defender, which has been chartered out to a unnamed UK operator for a period of four years plus options. The 2013-built vessel will support drilling operations on a central North Sea development.

“We are delighted with these new awards. Multiple long-term contract awards in this challenging market demonstrates the value our customers continue to place on our leading safe, environmentally friendly, and reliable operations,” commented Quintin Kneen, president and CEO of GulfMark Offshore.
