Shanghai: Yangzhou Guoyu Shipyard has signed shipbuilding contracts with joint owners Guoyu Nordic Shipping and Nordic Hamburg for the construction of two 1400teu LNG-powered containerships plus two options and it is the first ever containership order the shipyard has received.
The deliveries of the first two vessels are scheduled in 2016. [26/05/14]
