Höegh LNG signs up to help Egypt’s gas import plans

Cairo: After lengthy negotiations Höegh LNG has signed a letter of intent with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding for one of its floating storage and regasification units under construction in South Korea to be used as an import terminal at the port of Ain Sokhna.

The five year contract should net the Norwegian company around $40m a year.

“This project shows again the flexibility and versatility that Höegh LNG’s FSRU solutions bring to the LNG markets,” said Höegh LNG ceo Sveinung Stohle.  [13/05/14]
