Hafnia Tankers orders product tanker pair at CSSC

Vista Shipping, a joint venture established by Danish owner Hafnia Tankers and CSSC Shipping, the financial leasing unit of shipbuilder CSSC, has placed an order at CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering for two 75,000dwt product tankers.

The vessels will be chartered to Hafnia Tankers in a financial leasing deal after delivery, which is scheduled late 2018 or early 2019. The price for each vessel is $37m.

Hafnia Tankers has previously ordered 16 tankers in total at CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering, formerly Guangzhou Shipyard International. So far, 15 vessels have been delivered, while the last one will be delivered in May this year.

Hafnia Tankers now operates a fleet of 41 vessels, including 36 self-owned vessels and five chartered vessels.
