Guangzhou: Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holdings, the operator of Haikou Port, and Yangpu Holding, the operator of Yangpu Port have signed an agreement to integrate their port resources in order to eliminate intra-industry competition and enhance competitiveness.
According to the agreement, the two ports will set up a joint venture as the platform for the integration. Haikou government will also invest RMB800m for the development of new port infrastructure. [10/02/14]
