Hapag-Lloyd CEO joins Stolt-Nielsen board of directors

Rolf Habben Jansen, CEO of Hapag-Lloyd, has joined Stolt-Nielsen’s board of directors as a new director.

“With his extensive industry and business experience, Mr. Habben Jansen is a valued addition to the board of directors of Stolt-Nielsen Limited,” the board’s chairman Christer Olsson said in a statement today.

Including Habben Jansen, Stolt-Nielsen’s board now has six members, four of which are independent.

The board received approval to fill two vacancies at the company’s annual general meeting in April this year, of which the new director fills one position.

Habben Jansen (pictured) has been CEO of Hapag-Lloyd since July 2014, having previously been CEO of logistics provider Damco since 2009.
