Havyard wins ESVAGT crew change vessel design contract

Oslo: Havyard group has announced that its design division, Harvard Design & Solutions, has won a contract from Spanish yard Astilleros Zamacona for the design of a crew change vessel for Danish offshore support and safety operator ESVAGT.

The deal includes both design, and an equipment package, for the Havyard 931 which has been specifically designed for ESVAGT. The equipment package includes the propulsion system, navigation, automation and dynamic positioning system.

Gisle Vinjevoll Thrane, Halyard Design & Solutions VP for Sales, commented: “We are very pleased that ESVAGT has chosen yet another Havyard design, and our goal is to continue to deliver products that will result in ESVAGT continuing to see us as its long-term partner in the development of its fleet. We are also very happy to be able to continue our excellent collaboration with Astilleros Zamacona, which has already delivered three standby vessels of Havyard design from its yard in Spain.”

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in May 2017.
