Haydn waltzes from one Hamburg owner to another

The 3,534 teu HS Haydn boxship has been sold by Hansa Shipping to Nordic Hamburg. The 2010-buit ship fetched a price of $8.5m, brokers tell Splash.

Founded in 2006 by Rowil Ponta and Richard Grube, Nordic Hamburg today has a fleet of 11 boxships with the latest addition being its largest capacity-wise by some 134 teu. In addition Nordic Hamburg has a strong dry bulk portfolio with 21 bulkers listed on its website ranging in size from 35,000 dwt to 57,000 dwt.
