Hayfin and Breakwater complete acquisition of UOS and Hartmann

Hayfin Capital Management and Breakwater Capital’s offshore vessel business United Offshore Support (UOS) has completed the acquisition of the commercial and technical management businesses of both UOS United Offshore Support GmbH & Co KG and Hartmann Offshore GmbH & Co KG.

UOS announced the deal in July, at the same time it appointed former Bibby Offshore boss Howard Woodcock as its new CEO. Since then, management and staff of both companies have been working to bring the two organisations under the UOS brand, based in Leer, Germany.

Woodcock commented: “Following the completion of this transaction, UOS is well-positioned to capitalise on improving market conditions and continuing expanding the fleet. We now have in place a highly-experienced team, committed shareholders and a strong financial base to support our plans to grow the business internationally.”

UOS has a fleet of 13 anchor handling tug support vessels, 11 of them picked up via a long-term investment in partnership with the Hartmann Group and the other two acquired from struggling E.R. Offshore.
