Heerema and AF Gruppen awarded decommissioning project

Heerema Marine Contractors and AF Gruppen have received notice from Fairfield Betula that it plans to enter into a contract with the two companies for the removal and disposal of the Dunlin Alpha topside on the UK continental shelf.

The contract includes the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal of the topside, with a total tonnage of around 20,000 tonnes.

The award of the contract is planned before the end of the year, and the platform is scheduled to be removed and disposed in the period between 2021 and 2024.
