Guangzhou: Ningbo-based Henghou Group has exercised options for two 260,000dwt VLOCs at Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding.
Henghou Group ordered two VLOCs at Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) in 2013, and since then GSI has completed the takeover of Longxue Shipbuilding this year.
According to an official from Henghou Group, the company might either lease out the vessels or operating by itself through its trading subsidiary.
Henghou Group is a multi-sector enterprise which entered the shipping business in 2009. It currently operates five bulkers and four ships on orders. [09/09/14]
