Hillersøy replaces Sørensen as Siem CEO

Idar Hillersøy will replace Terje Sørensen as CEO of Oslo-listed Siem Offshore as of August 1.

Hillersøy (pictured) will also take over responsibility also for Siem Offshore Industrial Investments, as part of his new role. Previously, he has been responsible for the company’s offshore support vessel (OSV) segment since April 1.

“The board thanks Terje Sørensen for his hard work and sacrifice over many years in building and developing the company into what it is today,” Siem Offshore said in a statement today. Sørensen will leave the company after a “transitional phase”.

Svein Erik Mykland will also step down as Siem Offshore’s COO; his replacement has not yet been named. Mykland will take over responsibility for the development of Siem Offshore Contractors.
