Hilong wins first offshore contract

Beijing: Chinese integrated oil and gas industry player, Hilong Holding, has announced that the company has inked a contract with CNOOC China to provide offshore pipe-laying services. The total contract value is $29.83m.

The EPC service contract includes overall design of the construction plan, project management and offshore construction.

The project focuses on building seven subsea oil pipelines linking production platforms for the Phase II of Weizhou Project developed by CNOOC. The offshore construction work is estimated to be launched in March and completed in July 2015.

The contract marks the debut of the company in offshore engineering services and will be implemented by the company’s offshore pipe-laying vessel “Hilong 106”.

The deal lays a solid foundation for Hilong's future expansion into other offshore engineering service areas and the company is fully prepared for the opportunities in the upcoming new development era, according to Hilong. [17/11/14]
