HIT dockworkers take protest to KS Li’s office

Hong Kong: Following the failed third round of pay talks, Hong Kong dockworkers marched to the offices of its employers yesterday.

Over 200 dockworkers camped yesterday outside the office building of Li Ka-shing, the Cheung Kong Center, demanding a 23% pay hike from Hongkong International Terminals (HIT), controlled by Li. Dozens of the striking workers slept in tents surrounding the building overnight and more will come back today to continue the protest, a dockworker said. [18/04/13]
