Höegh LNG considering more newbuildings

Oslo: Höegh LNG has said it is considering more newbuildings. The Oslo-listed company said its liquefied gas terminals were the key for improved earnings in the first quarter. A number of the firm’s FSRUs have found contracts this year.

“With the increasing opportunities we see in the FSRU market, the growth outlook is good,” the company’s ceo, Sveinung Støhle, noted in the quarterly report.

Höegh LNG  tends to order in South Korea where early delivery slots are available following the shaky offshore scene of the past nine months.
