Dubai: A merchant ship was shot at by unknown assailants in a speedboat along the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman yesterday, according to the NATO Shipping Centre.
The speedboat was repelled by hoses and there were no injuries reported.
Attacks in the Strait of Hormuz are extremely rare.
