Hsin Chien Marine orders handymax trio at Shikoku

Taiwanese owner Hsin Chien Marine has placed an order at Japan’s Shikoku Dockyard for the construction of three 38,600 dwt handymax bulk carriers.

According to broking sources, the price for each vessel is in the region of $25m and deliveries are scheduled in 2019 and 2020.

Hsin Chien currently operates a fleet of 28 bulkers and has another eight newbuildings on order.
