Hua Yun Shipping handymax sold at auction

Ningbo Maritime Court has sold Zhejiang Hua Yun Shipping’s 2008-built Hua Yun 5 via an online auction.

The 22,000 dwt vessel was sold to an undisclosed buyer for a price of RMB40.01m ($5.83m). The proceeds will be used to solve a debt dispute between Hua Yun Shipping and its creditors.

Following the sale, Hua Yun Shipping’s fleet has been downsized to three handymax bulkers.
