Huadian Heavy Industries secures $235m wind farm contract

Chinese EPC contractor Huadian Heavy Industries has been awarded contracts by Binhai Smart Wind Power Company for offshore works at State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC)’s Binhai South wind farm offshore Jiangsu.

Huadian will be the main EPC contractor for the construction and installation of a series of offshore wind farm facilities and equipment.

The project is expected to be completed in 306 days and the total value of the contract is RMB1.65bn ($235m).

Huadian is currently a contractor for SPIC’s Binhai North wind farm development.
