Huaian adds new berths

Shanghai: China’s southeast city, Huaian, is planning to start the second phase project of Huaian new port which is expected to be completed at the end of 2015. The total project investment is RMB270m.

The six new 1,000 tons-class berths will be used for container vessels when completed. The designed annual handling capacity of the project is 2.4m teu.

The port has completed the first phase project last week, including two 1,000ton-class berths and six 500tons-class berths. [01/12/14]
