Shanghai: State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Hubei announced that Hubei Port Group will be established by the end of August.
Hubei Port Group will integrate Wuhan Port Group, Wuhan New Port Construction Investment and Development Group, and port assets in five other port cities along the Yangtze River in the province.
The integrated port group will set up an investment division, a port operation division and a shipping & logistics division.
According to an official from Wuhan Port Group, Hubei Port Group aims to develop Wuhan New Port into a mid-stream Yangtze River shipping hub which will also support the development of other river ports in the province. [07/08/14]
