Hudong-Zhonghua boss to be prosecuted for bribery

Shanghai: After four months investigation, Gu Tiquan, the former chairman of state-owned Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard, will be prosecuted for bribery according to the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.

Gu is the latest official from a state-owned company to be charged in China’s crackdown on corruption, and prosecutors in Shanghai have already filed the case with the trial about to start soon.

Hudong-Zhonghua is a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding, and the first shipbuilder in China to build liquefied gas carriers. [29/09/14]
