Hong Kong: CSSC-affiliated Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding has signed with BG Group and the investor of Queensland Curtis LNG Project for the construction of two 174000 cu m LNG carriers plus two options in Hong Kong yesterday.
BG Group signed a letter of intent with the shipyard for the same ships at the end of 2013. The vessels will be delivered from 2017 to 2019.
Hudong Zhonghua is the first LNG shipbuilder in China and it currently holds orders for another 10 LNG carriers. [03/07/14]
