Humpuss vows more ships

Jakarta: PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi (HITS) claims it will add to its fleet in the third quarter, despite its legal difficulties that saw creditors last year win cases that demand HITS pay them $115m in damages.

Disregarding the difficulties, Humpuss president director Theo Lekatompessy said: “There are hopefully two projects.”

The company recently outlined plans to bid on several big projects to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG) and chemical tankers as well as LNG support, harbour tugs and oil support projects. Those projects will involve a total investment of US$120m.  [14/02/13]
