Ikeda addresses MOL staff in inaugural address

Tokyo: Junichiro Ikeda, the new president of Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), the owner of the world’s most valuable fleet, gave his inaugural message today.

“Our aim is to make MOL the first company people think of as a logistics business partner and build a reliable, trusted presence around the world,” Ikeda said.

Ikeda takes over from Koichi Muto, who has been named the company’s new chairman.

In a survey carried by Maritime CEO last month in association with VesselsValue.com, MOL vaulted up four places to become the world’s richest owned fleet.
