Dubai: Testing has been carried out on Iran’s second ever homemade containership. The 2,200 teu Iran Shahr-E-Kord has been built by Iran Ship Building and Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO).
The ship is 187 m long and 30 m wide. It is named after the capital of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province in central Iran.
The ship will soon be delivered to the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL). [06/05/14]
