Iran’s first oceanographic vessel set to launch soon

Dubai: Iran's first oceanographic vessel will be launched in June.  The construction of the vessel which has started in 2011 is 50 m long, 10 m wide, and 12 m high.

The vessel marks another milestone on Iran’s shipbuilding capabilities. Iran has been building a series of aframax tankers lately and has added drydocks of more than 400 m in length as it aims to build even larger tankers such as a VLCC.
