Dubai: Iranian naval forces came to the rescue of an Iranian tanker hit by pirates in the Gulf of Aden over the weekend. The pirate boat scarpered as the Iranian navy bore down. Pirates have attacked eight Iranian ships this year, with this particular tanker having been attacked twice alone. The Iranian navy has stepped up patrols in the area. [07/10/13]
