Iraqi Kurdistan selects Iranian port to ship oil

Dubai: The Kurdistan region of Iraq will export crude oil by trucks to an Iranian port for shipment to Asia by tanker, something likely to annoy both Baghdad and Washington.

Because of issues over revenue-sharing, Kurdistan exports of crude oil stopped using a pipeline to Turkey last year as it is controlled by the Iraqi central government. Now, Kurdistan is looking to shift around 30,000 barrels a day via Iran.  [08/08/13]
