IRISL confident sanctions will be lifted

Dubai: Like its tanker peer NITC, Iranian containerline Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) is hopeful sanctions against it will be dropped soon in the ongoing nuclear negotiations in Vienna.

IRISL Deputy Director for Technical and Commercial Affairs, Ali Ezati told local newswire Tasnim that it is expected that during this round of negotiations between Iran and the G5+1 (five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany), restrictions on Iranian ships and shipping companies will be removed.

“Currently there is a positive atmosphere in the Iranian shipping sector”, said Ezati.  [10/07/14]
