Island Offshore secures more contract work for MPSV

Norway’s Island Offshore has secured employment for its multipurpose vessel Island Victory to support two offshore projects.

The 2020-built vessel will be responsible for the installation of a complete mooring spread for a floating storage regasification unit this autumn in a campaign expected to last between 90 and 120 days. The contract for an undisclosed client is part of the installation phase of a new gas pipeline in the Mediterranean.

The contracted scope of work involves the installation of a complete underwater restricted catenary mooring system, “as built” survey, flexible riser installation, PLEM, spool and umbilical installation comprising the vessel’s first mobilisation of a horizontal lay system spread on board.

Island Offshore has also secured work for the vessel in the second half of 2024 when it will return to the Gulf of Mexico, and work for Subsea 7 on a complete floating production and storage mooring installation and associated underwater construction work in ultra-deepwater. The deal is fixed for 120 days plus options.
