Ithaca Energy terminates BW Offshore FPSO, while AWE extends

BW Offshore and Ithaca Energy have come to an agreement over the termination of FPSO BW Athena, while will be demobilised in February 2016.

The FPSO was operating at the Athena field in the UK Continental Shelf, and after the firm three-year contract ended last year the FPSO was operating on an extension which included a mutual termination clause.

Another BW Offshore unit, FPSO Umuroa, has been given a one-year contract extension by AWE. The FPSO is operating in the Umuroa field offshore New Zealand through to the fourth quarter of 2017.
