J.D. Lan back at helm of Shih Wei Navigation

Taiwanese bulk shipping major Shih Wei Navigation has elected J.D. Lan, the company’s founder and former president, as its new president.

Lan stepped down from the president role in 2017 due to health issues and the company appointed Chang Ying-lung to take over management of the company.

Last month, Chang and general manager Chou Ying-lang both resigned from their positions.

J.D. Lan founded Shih Wei Navigation in 1985 and he is the brother of James Lan, the founder and chairman of Wisdom Marine.

VesselsValue data shows that Shih Wei Navigation currently owns a fleet of 53 bulkers.
