J. Lauritzen appoints Torm CFO as new CEO

J. Lauritzen has found a new ceo. Mads Zacho, current cfo at Torm, will take over from Jan Kastrup-Nielsen at the Copenhagen-headquartered firm no later than December 1 this year, the company said in a release today.

Prior to Torm, Zacho’s career included stints at Maersk and Nordea.

Jesper Lok, chairman of J. Lauritzen commented: “Mads has a solid track record both in the shipping and financial sectors and proven leadership skills.”

Nielsen will continue as ceo until the handover is complete.

Starting out with the Informa Group in 2000 in Hong Kong, Sam Chambers became editor of Maritime Asia magazine as well as East Asia Editor for the world’s oldest newspaper, Lloyd’s List.
