Jacktel agrees interim deal with Equinor for jackup accomodation unit

Master Marine’s Jacktel has agreed with Equinor to lay up jack-up accommodation unit Haven at the Johan Sverdrup field, following the expiry of a firm contract for the vessel on December 7.

The deal gives Equinor the option to use up to 300 beds during the layup period of 130 days, with the contract value worth between $6.4m and $25.7m based on bed utilisation.

Jacktel has the option to terminate the contract at any time in order to take on another contract.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
