Jaldhi Overseas adds vintage chemical tanker

Brokers report active Indian owner Jaldhi Overseas has bought the 2006-built, 19,800 dwt chemical tanker Bow Fuji for just under $12m from Eastern Hero Shipping.

Jaldhi is also believed to be the buyer of a pair of 2009-built 46,000 MR tankers, sold by JX Ocean in October for a total of $30m, although shipping databases have yet to acknowledge this as a done deal.

Jaldhi was established in Singapore in 2004 and is part of India’s Bothra Group. It mostly charters in vessels. As well as the tankers it is linked to, the company owns one Japanese panamax bulker called Jal Kumud.
