Jan De Nul secures installation contract from Vattenfall

Belgian company Jan De Nul has been awarded a contract by Vattenfall to provide offshore installation services for Kriegers Flak offshore wind project in the Danish Baltic Sea.

The contract covers the supply of a wind turbine installation vessel for the transport of wind turbine components, and the support of the installation works of the wind turbine contractor on Kriegers Flak.

The Kriegers Flak project is scheduled to be fully operational before the end of 2021.

Jan De Nul operates a fleet of six vessels made up of two installation vessels, two PSVs and two cable lay vessels. The company ordered one jackup installation vessel at Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry in April.
